_MG_0571Peter Conway is a rising singer/songwriter and recording artist. His list of recent credits include headlining major venues across London, to already having ten of his songs feature in nine original motion pictures, from Hollywood blockbusters and documentaries to Independent British films. Including ‘Friends With Benefits’ and American documentary ‘Harlistas – An American Journey’, as well as three new films coming out later this year.
A breath taking live performer solo or when with his band, with a unique unforgettable voice and song delivery, that takes you on a journey of the heart and soul.
Tipped as being a unique talent by the UK music industry bible ‘Music Week’ who said his song writing threads a line between Springsteen and Waites, as well as being seen as one to watch by ‘Maverick Magazine’ who likened his new album ‘Stay’ to the classic ‘After the Gold Rush and drew vocal comparisons with Ray Lamontagne.
Peter’s new album ‘Stay’ was written after having a series of visions whilst in Nashville. Peter was inspired to create a concept record about love, intimacy, human relationships and the transformational power of listening to your heart.
Peter+ConwayPeter knew this was an album he had to be at the helm of and weave together himself. So he formed a dedicated band in his home town of London and headed to the English countryside to record the album, like so many classic bands and artists of yesteryear, to capture those moments in a studio that can only be described as magic.

Completely self-funded Peter spent two years going to and from London to the peace and tranquillity of the English Countryside, self-producing, arranging and mixing the album at Far Heath Studios in Northamptonshire England, along with the award winning Angus Wallace (Danny Thompson, Spiritualised, The Fall) as recording and co-mixing engineer and the multi award winning Jon Astley (The Who, Led Zepp, Abba) as mastering engineer, mastering the record at Close To The Edge Mastering in Twickenham.

Joined by his band, Russel Smith (lead guitar and multi-instrumentalist), Phil DeHovre (bass) and Ben Cullingworth (drums) making regular visits to the studio throughout the recording as well as featuring guest performances from some of Peter’s extended musical family including Darren David James, Tim Weller, Amy Lynch, Phil Ryan, Hayley Tucker, Harry Mundy, Dom Durner and Katie Maddocks.

Already being awarded Album of the Month by Folk Words, ‘Stay’ is being hailed by critics and fans alike as a classic and timeless album that sonically has a vinyl early 1970′s singer songwriter feel and sound that is nothing short of a masterpiece.
